Easy Garden Focaccia Recipe

 
 

Looking for a simple dish to share this summer? This colourful vegetable focaccia makes the perfect centrepiece. • 420 ml warm water

• 1 tsp yeast (7 g)

• 1 tsp honey

• 500 g flour

• 10 g salt

• 20 ml olive oil, plus extra for the tray and topping


Method


1.

Mix water, yeast, honey, and olive oil. Add flour and salt; mix until a wet, sticky dough forms.

2.

Cover and rest for 10–15 minutes.

3.

Do 1 stretch-and-fold, then 2 coil folds, resting briefly between each.

4.

Transfer to a generously oiled baking tray. Cover and let rise until doubled and very wobbly, about 2 hours.

5.

Drizzle with olive oil, oil your hands, and dimple the dough all over.

6.

Bake at 220°C (425°F) for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown.

7.

Cool slightly before serving.
